My husband, Sigurjon, offers a luxury  private guided tour of the Diamond Ring in a big 4x4 car (max 7 passengers). He is the driver guide on this trip (he does this for FUN from his daily  job!!!)). He has been exploring in the area, on horses, by car or hiking. He  is fully certificated to drive the vehicle (GMC Suburban 4x4 or Dodge Ram 4x4) with paying passengers.

The Diamond Ring Road is approx. 300 km long (187  miles) with many places worth visiting. It is almost impossible to see  everything in one day. Therefore it is important for him to know in advance what it  is that you are most interested in seeing and then he can add some things that  he thinks might be worth exploring.

Do you like to see new lava,  hot springs, geothermal or hydraulic power plants, landscape, museums, birds,  people and agriculture, culture and folk art ? Are you interested in geology,  waterfalls, or just drive around and relax.

Do you want to hike, or take a short walk, a long walk ?   This is your tour. You decide.

If you want to have a good time to enjoy the places and  take pictures it is better to do the tour in at least 2 days.

Be prepared for walk in rugged area and dress for all kinds of weather. Good shoes are mandatory.

I can only allow you to join my husband as a driver- guide only for a few days during our high season as I need him to do the laundry and keep the hot tubs working and be there for me !
